I have a Hoover Windtunnel that will not self propel anymore. The cable is broken. I have managed in getting the bottom part apart and disconnected. I cannot seem to get the upper control area apart. I have removed all of the screws but nothing is coming off. Are these pieces glued together?? Help. Thanks

Thank you for your great question regarding your Hoover WT Self Propelled model. This is a popular machine with our repair technicians. I''m not to sure that I understand your question fully.

I think you may be having a problem with the upper part of the handle, trying to replace the cable, correct? To replace this cable, all you actually need to do is to take off the four screws on the back of the machine that fasten the handle assembly to the unit itself. Once you have removed the handle, you can clearly see the top part of the control cable for he self propelled, and how the handle assembly attaches to it.

I would be able to send you a blown up parts schematic to your vacuum, if you''d can please send me a model number. This will help you substantially in taking apart your vacuum clean
