I have a Kirby G5 upright vacuum, and just recently when I opened the outer bag to change the bag inside, I noticed there was dust and dirt completely covering inside the bag. After inspecting the machine further I noticed that there was a small tear in the tube that connects the bottom boot of the bag to the part which the bag attaches to, I believe this part is called the Fill Tube. How can I remove the old and replace it?

Hi Lisa,

Welcome to ask govacuum! This unfortunately is a common problem on the Kirby Generation models. You'll need to purchase the:

Kirby Generation Fill Tube Hose Part 190384

as well as three or four:

Kirby Fill Tube Bag Ties Part Number 191182S

Once you have these parts, changing the fill tube can be a little challenging. Because of this, we went ahead and recorded a video tutorial walking you through step by step how to replace this part.

You may find this video below on our YouTube channel:

How To Replace The Fill Tube or Bag Tube Assembly on a Kirby Generation (G3, G4, G5, G6, Ultimate G, Diamond Edition, and Sentria models) Video

I hope that this video helped you fix your Kirby. Please feel free to reply or leave a comment if you have any further questions on how to replace this part.
