My newly purchased Shark Navigator NV22T-FS brush doesn't move with the ON button pressed on. Any advice?

Hello,
The most common reason for that particular issue is going to have to do with the belt. For a variety of reasons the belt probably either slipped off the motor shaft or the belt broke. Both reasons will cause the brushroll not to turn. If you turn the machine over and remove the base plate you should be able to view the belt and see if its in the proper position. Sometimes the belt can be intact and in the proper postition but due to strain can be stretched out; that too will cause the brushroll not to turn or turn intermittently. Hopefully those suggestions will help you tackle the problem. Thank you for your question.
Sincerely
