We hope you're not wasting your money also and in order to ensure you're not, I shot this quick video so you can see how to replace the pedal. Please ensure you ordered Bissell item number 2030052 aka 203-0052. Here is the direction and instructions in text:
Step 1) Order your part from GoVacuum.com
Step 2) Place a flat head screw on each side of the foot release tabs on the bottom of the vacuum.
Step 3) Apply very light pressure between the screw drivers and the tab while pulling out the pedal from the top.
Step 4) Take new pedal and insert
Ste 5) GoVacuum!
