The V belt of this Hoover vacuum is ok, but its loose and does not get the traction on the brush roller as the belt turns.

Hello,
Thank you for your question.
The V-belt doesn't stretch out and very rarely will it break, however, it does wear down on the sides. You may notice where it sits on the roller has turned black. This is caused by the V-belt rubbing against it and over time the V-belt becomes more thin, too thin to create enough traction on the roller.
Sincerely,
GoVacuum
